The Astor House is getting a totally gnarly takeov The Astor House is getting a totally gnarly takeover. Our neighbor and local favorite @gnarlystheater & @thegnarlytoybox Golden’s live entertainment theater is transforming the space into a full on nostalgic living room throwback. Complete with playable arcade cabinets and an N64, as well as nostalgic movie posters and iconic vintage toys. It’s a playful, immersive blast from the past.
Goldens in Golden was one for the books. From sun Goldens in Golden was one for the books. From sunrise paw-fee to yappy hour, the Astor House courtyard was packed with wagging tails, proud pet parents, and nonstop fun. We pressed paws into clay for keepsake mementos, customized dog bowls fresh off the wheel, and cheered on some seriously stylish pups during the doggy fashion show. Thank you to everyone who came out, days like this remind us why we love being part of this community—art, dogs, and a whole lot of joy all in one place.

Featuring work by @rrccvama students, this show highlights photography, video, graphic design, and multimedia projects rooted in real-world, industry-driven experience. These pieces reflect the skills, experimentation, and professional practices students are developing as they prepare to step into creative careers.

Celebrate Goldens in Golden with a Pawrty in the C Celebrate Goldens in Golden with a Pawrty in the Courtyard at Foothills Art Center on Saturday, February 7. Join us for a full day of tail-wagging fun in our dog-friendly courtyard at the Astor House, filled with art, treats, drinks, and plenty more! Pawfee & Cozy Drinks Opening early with coffee by Humble House Cafe to energize you and pup-cups for your floofs.  Tea and hot chocolate are also available to keep you warm. Art With Your Dog Paw-some impressions - press your dog’s paw into pet safe air dry clay to create a memento. Dapper Dog - customize a provided dog bandana. Sketch-A-Pet - draw your own dog during a guided sketching session Photo Op & Treats Strike a pose under our mini “Welcome to Golden” arch. Treat your dog to Pup Patties from Bob’s Atomic Burgers! Yappy Hour Enjoy craft beer from Golden City Brewery. Sip on a Kombucha by Kona Bowls Superfoods starting at 1pm. Plus, made onsite wheel-thrown dog bowls ready to be customized by you and your dog! Golden Fashion Show at the Pup-Up Tent brought to you by Foothills Art Center, Gnarly’s Theater. Starting at 12:30pm. Saturday, February 7 | 7:30 am – 5pm $15 non-members, $10 members, free for kids.  Receive a free drink ticket and a wristband that allows re-entry all day.

No experience needed—instructor Jordan Hawks will guide you through throwing basic forms on the wheel, and you’ll leave with a pot you can be proud of. Clay, tools, and firing included.
