Get Involved!

We are looking for passionate, reliable, and energetic individuals who would like to get involved. Currently, we have a devoted group of over 100 volunteers, some serving since the Center’s founding in 1968. Volunteer opportunities include weekdays, evenings and weekends. ADMINISTRATIVE

Help with the behind-the-scenes work that makes all the exhibitions and programs possible. Assist our staff with clerical tasks, such as bulk mail projects, filing, data entry, and other projects.

Events

Provide assistance at exhibition opening receptions, member only events, the annual gala, markets, and festivals.

Help with event preparation, set-up and clean-up, greet visitors and members, reception desk aid, food and refreshment service, artist assistance, and more.

Exhibitions

Support the installation and de-installation processes, gain valuable art handling skills, with the opportunity to work with the curator and exhibiting artist.

Diligently unpack and repack artworks, measure placement and hang artwork, paint walls and keep a tidy working environment.

Grounds

Contribute to the maintenance of Foothills Art Center grounds.

Dependent on the season, this might include snow removal, raking leaves, or beautifying the gardens.

Marketing

Help with the marketing and outreach for the exhibitions and events. Assist our staff with social media, distributing marketing materials for exhibitions, and even small graphic design tasks using Adobe Creative Suite.

Membership

Connect the community with Foothills Art Center’s mission. “We create stronger community through art.”

Use skills in database systems and learn strategies of membership cultivation and renewal programs.

Programming

Support community and education programs at Foothills Art Center.

Be involved with camps designed for children and classes and workshops for all ages at Creative Campus. Aid in special programming events like the activity booth during the annual ARTSWEEK Festival. Support the hands-on activity space at Astor House.

Visitor Services

Create a welcoming and engaging environment for Foothills Art Center visitors and members. With friendly and professional conduct greet visitors, collect visitor information, sign visitors up for memberships, politely answer questions, process retail sales, and more
