Whether you are just beginning, intend to strengthen your skills, or are already developing a style uniquely your own, discover the potential for self-expression in the visual language. In each session, we will break down one of the essential tools of artistic expression: composition, edges, shapes, values, color, light, and subject matter. Contemporary Still Life – Oil Painting
Foothills Art Center - Creative Campus 809 15th Street, Golden, CO, United StatesThis class aims to give students an understanding of the practice and history of still-life painting with oil. Drawing on impressionist techniques to modern-day painters, students will create their own contemporary twist on an age-old subject. The first class will demonstrate how to set up an underpainting by addressing the fundamentals of composition and proportion.
