Golden StArt with Jenny Wilson

Golden StArt is a joint one-hour coffee meetup program designed to bring artists in the area together with the Golden community to meet and talk about art. Come grab a cup of coffee with artist, Jenny on Friday, May 3rd at 8 am.

Jenny Wilson, inspired by the natural world and the interplay of light and dark in the sky and horizon lines, creates paintings that evoke wonder and contemplation. Viewers are invited to lose themselves in the vast landscapes portrayed, capturing the essence of the world through subtle sunset hues to the deep blues of a stormy sea.

With a carefully honed creative process, Jenny works on multiple pieces simultaneously, using black-and-white photos of places as compositional references. Employing techniques like scumbling with a dry brush and utilizing t-shirt rags for paint application and removal, she achieves a luminous quality through the use of a satin medium for blending.

What sets Jenny Wilson apart is her ability to capture the intangible qualities of nature—air, water, earth, and atmosphere. Her paintings transcend mere representations of physical landscapes, becoming expressions of the emotions and sensations evoked by the natural world.
