Join Bonnie as she demonstrates her process of translating sketches and photographs of her hikes around Golden into an oil painting on canvas. See how work done in plein air and paintings completed in the studio have different advantages and challenges. If you have questions about oil painting come see how forgiving oil painting can be!

“I find artistic inspiration exploring the diverse terrain of the Rocky Mountains, searching for views that emotionally speak to me and draw me back to a place. This personal connection and observation is important to me. I use primarily oils to render the dynamic forms, depth of color and contrasts of the landscape.” – Bonnie
