We're giving you a sneak peek of one of the pieces from the Members' Show from the artist, Tricia Bass. ⁠ ⁠ This year our Guest Juror, Traci Zajaczkowski (@tracizart), asked the artists, "how did your emotions affect your artistic process while making this work?" The artists' answers have been printed on their labels and will offer you extra insight into creating the work. ⁠ ⁠ This is what Traci said, “I really enjoy the process of painting because it calms and quiets my soul. I particularly enjoyed the challenges of painting this bee city because in addition to being inspired by the play of light and shadow on the hives, I care deeply about the health and well being of our green earth, those little guys are such an important indicator species.
