August 15 – October 25 Spanning the last 8–10 years of CarolAnn Wachter’s practice, this exhibition brings together works on paper, large-scale painted collages, and oil paintings in one collection. Explore the evolution of Wachter’s work across mediums, with pieces that reveal an ongoing exploration of color, composition, texture, and process.

Spend the evening surrounded by mountain views, live music from Skyote, and a live printmaking demonstration from artist Johanna Mueller. Grab food and drinks from King of Wings, enjoy the sunset, and connect with the Foothills community in our courtyard. On Saturday, September 5 from 10am–2pm, artist and educator Katy Betz will guide students through approachable techniques for drawing trees, clouds, mountains, and other natural forms. Explore nearly a decade of artistic exploration in Explore nearly a decade of artistic exploration in Vivid Realm, by CarolAnn Wachter, an exhibition bringing together works on paper, large-scale painted collages, and oil paintings created over the past 8–10 years. Moving across mediums and scale, the exhibition offers a look at the evolution of Wachter’s creative practice and the ideas that have continued to shape her work over time. On view August 15 – October 25 at Foothills Art Center.

See how they mix real eggs with intense pigments to create the luminous colors, crisp details, and lasting surfaces that make egg tempera so unique. Come watch, learn, and see this centuries-old process happening right before your eyes. Free admission | All are welcome

On Thursday, August 27 from 5–7 pm, experience a guided Conscious Connected Breathwork journey led by facilitator Brian Koenig at the Astor House. No prior breathwork or meditation experience is necessary. $25 Members | $45 Non-Members Bring comfortable clothing, a yoga mat, blankets, pillows, and water. A journal and pen are optional.
