Tots & Art Thursday returns on May 7 from 10:30–11:30 am at the Foothills Art Center Astor House.

This free, monthly program combines story time with a hands on art activity inspired by the book of the day. A great way for toddlers and their caregivers to explore and create together.

Meeting Wednesdays in May (May 6, 13, 20, 27 | 5:30–7:00 pm), this all-levels class guides participants through the process of uncovering and shaping personal stories.

Celebrate art, creativity, and community at our Creative Campus Open House & Creative Canvas Fundraiser on Friday, May 8 from 4–7 pm. Explore the Creative Campus, tour artist studios, and get a behind-the-scenes look at classes and programs.

Be part of the experience with Creative Canvas! We offer 60 blank 6×6 canvases for anyone to create your own artwork, and see it featured in a silent auction during the event. It’s a fun, hands-on way to support local artists and help expand access to the arts in our community.

This exhibition showcases Rob Bell’s striking approach to the human form. Through bold color choices, refined technique, and dynamic backdrops, Bell transforms traditional figure painting into dramatic, contemporary portraits. Years of dedication to studying the figure are evident in each piece, where careful rendering meets expressive composition to create work that feels both powerful and intimate.

Go deeper into the work behind Rocky Mountain Muses at an Artist Talk with Rob Bell on Saturday, April 18 from 2:00–3:00 pm at the Astor House.

Hear directly from the artist as he shares his journey, influences, and approach to portraying the human form through bold, layered compositions. From dual-figure symbolism to his use of mixed media and dimensional surfaces, Bell’s work explores connection, identity, and transformation in striking and unexpected ways.

Held over two days, this hands-on workshop explores printmaking using gelatin plates and natural plant materials. Leaves, blooms, and roots become your tools as you layer color and texture with acrylic paint to create unique, organic designs.
