Color Journal: How do I make that color?

Course Description:
If you are new to painting and want to learn how to mix colors seen in life or made up, this class is for you. In this class, you will maintain a painting journal in your sketchbook, which can serve as a valuable reference for years to come. For consistency, we will be painting with acrylic paint only.
Techniques Taught:
*Using the Prang color system, you will learn to mix color combinations that will give you the knowledge to mix any color for future art projects.
*Color combinations that will be explored in your sketchbook/journal are value and tonal changes. Color exploration in monochromatic colors, analogous colors, and complementary colors.
*Paint mixing techniques and care for materials will be taught.
*Understanding how various paint brands and similar colors can expand the knowledge beyond this introduction to color mixing.
$3 materials fee paid directly to the instructor at start of class.
