ARTSWEEK GOLDEN FESTIVAL

The Annual ARTSWEEK GOLDEN FESTIVAL is back for our 8th year, and we are excited to welcome our artists and friends to downtown Golden! The Festival, operated by the staff and volunteers at Foothills Art Center, kicks off a weeklong celebration of the arts. Whether you stop by for a workshop, explore all three exhibitions on view at the Astor House, bring the family to create, or spend the weekend discovering artist booths, there’s something for everyone to experience.

Getting to the Festival

FREE TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS 

  • Ride your bike and park securely at one of the on-site bike racks you will find at the event! Be sure to bring your bike lock! 
  • Park outside of the downtown area and take the free ORE CART SHUTTLE.  Shuttles run Saturday and Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Map and more information HERE.   
  • Ride the RTD W Line to the Jefferson County Government Center/Golden Station and hop on the free Ore Cart shuttle from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 

If you drive, there are public parking options walkable to the event:  

FREE PARKING OPTIONS 

  • Clear Creek Lot –Space is limited, and it fills up quickly. (MAP) Located at 10th Street and Archer Street 
  • Jackson Street North Public Garage (MAP) located on Jackson Street between 11th and 12th Streets offers two hours of free parking with registration of your vehicle using a parking app or kiosk. Paid parking after the first two hours.
  • Jackson Street South Public Garage (MAP) located on Jackson Street between 12th and 13th Streets offers two hours of free parking with registration of your vehicle using a parking app or kiosk. Paid parking after the first two hours.

PAID PARKING OPTIONS 

  • 18th Street Parking Garage (Colorado School of Mines) at 18th Street and Washington Avenue is open to the public for a day rate.  Use the ParkMobile app, Zone 1572 for payments.  
  • Street Parking – all of downtown Golden and the 10th Street corridor is paid parking, first two hours free.  Use the kiosk or the HONK parking app.  
  • Colorado School of Mines Garage at McNeil Hall (MAP) offers paid parking using a parking app.   
  •  Colorado School of Mines Lot K –(MAP) Located at the corner of 11th Street and Maple Streets
