Flowstate: A Watermedia Exhibit Featuring Janet Nunn

April 23 – July 11

Janet Nunn teams up with student curators for a juried Watermedia show celebrating her 20 years with FAC.

Flow State: 20 Years with Janet Nunn is a celebration of watermedia artwork and Janet Nunn’s contributions to the Foothills Art Center. For 20 years, the renowned watermedia artist and educator Janet Nunn has been a central figure at FAC, inspiring her students to embrace artistic experimentation and mentoring emerging artists along their journey. The exhibition consists of four main components: the paintings of Janet Nunn, the artwork of Janet’s students, the works of young curators whom Janet mentored during the 2021 Young Curators Program, and the selected pieces of other watermedia artists. At its core, the exhibition aims to showcase Janet’s approach to art and teaching, while also arraying the artistic flow state that manifests itself through watermedia. The FAC family is extremely grateful for Janet’s contributions as an artist as well as an educator, and it looks forward to working with her for years to come.
