SUMMARY:Morning StArt with Moe Scance
DESCRIPTION:Morning StArt is a joint one-hour coffee meetup program designed to bring artists in the area together with the Golden community to meet and talk about art. Come and grab a cup of coffee with artist Moe Scance on Friday\, September 8th at 8 am at Cafe 13. \nAbout Moe:\nBorn into the middle of a large Irish-Catholic family in Wash D.C.\, I was always the artist of the family. I could draw. I went to art school and received a BFA. My career as a graphic artist commenced\, and I ended up in newspaper design. \nIt was 2009 when I began renting a studio and pursuing this life as an artist. I used the tools from my graphics career — drawing table tracing paper exacto knives t-square and especially my light-table. \nSince I started full-time in my studio in 2015 I have been driven\, relentlessly refining my skills\, making my chosen process work for me. I am convinced that I will learn how to make my audience fall in love with my drawings\, like how I love Marc Chagall and Grant Wood and Sushe Felix\, Eyvind Earle and Maxfield Parrish. \nFor a decade I have been working in obscurity. This year was the start of a new era of being seen\, out and about and entering shows that have a juror that I respect and would like to meet. I have been invited more times than not\, it’s been a real confidence builder. It is bliss to be appreciated! I am given the motivation to continue…
