SUMMARY:Artist Talk with Russell C. Banks
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an artist talk with Russell C. Banks\, a celebrated American photographer whose work captures the quirks\, ironies\, and ambiguous moments of everyday life. \nRooted in the documentary tradition and inspired by both legendary street photographers and large-format masters\, Banks creates images where the surrounding structures and details play as vital a role as the people within them. A photojournalism graduate of the University of Texas at Austin\, his career has spanned decades and geographies—from early explorations of the Southwest with a 4×5 field camera to his current Floating World series\, which dives into the surreal environments of giant cruise ships. \nHis work has been featured in solo and juried exhibitions across the U.S.\, including the Colorado Photographic Arts Center\, Santa Barbara Museum of Art\, and the Center for Fine Art Photography\, and has been published in major online magazines such as F-STOP\, Float Photo Magazine\, Street Photography Magazine\, and The Photographic Journal. \nDon’t miss this opportunity to hear Banks reflect on his journey\, his influences\, and the evolving stories behind his images. \n\nFree to attend! All welcome.\n1133 Arapahoe Street\, Golden\, CO\nPlease allot 15 minutes for parking
