SUMMARY:Fall 2 Wheel-Throwing - Wednesday Evenings
DESCRIPTION:WHEEL-THROWING ALL LEVELS \nFALL SESSION 2 \nThis class is designed for the beginner\, as well as intermediate and advanced students. Students must be 18 years of age or older. The basics of throwing on the wheel will be covered as well as use of equipment\, safety and management of materials. Instructors will work with individual students at the student’s level\, Beginner\, Intermediate or Advanced. Students are also encouraged to explore their own creativity. The class provides one 25-pound bag of clay\, use of all studio equipment and tools and firing of all work made during class or lab/open studio. \nAdditional bags of clay can be purchased for $20 each during class. Clay tools are provided on a first come\, first served basis. We highly encourage students that intend to continue taking classes or making pottery past the beginner level to check out our Recommended Clay Tools list (linked in our class confirmation email) in order to ensure that you have access to all the tools you want to use. \nOpen Studio takes place Saturdays from 9am-5pm for each week that classes are active. Students must sign up and pay for the open studio before their first class takes place in order to attend. DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of painting the human face in watercolor in this four week class. Students are given step by step instruction on anatomy\, drawing and painting the human face. Features of the face such as eye\, nose and lips are drawn and then painted. Proportion and proper placement of features are emphasized. Multiple watercolor techniques and color mixing strategies are utilized. In addition to being an artist\, Pam is also a physician and uses her expertise of anatomy to create beautiful portraits. \n  \nThis workshop takes place on Thursdays\, January 2025 on 9\, 16\, 23\, 30 from 2-4pm in person at Foothills Art Center Creative Campus. \n  \nAges 14 and up.
