DESCRIPTION:CERAMICS & WATERCOLOR: A COLLABORATIVE WORKSHOP FALL 2025 \n \nDiscover the creative possibilities that emerge with the unconventional collision of ceramics and watercolor in this three-session workshop. The first session will be held in the ceramics studio with Jordan Hawks\, who will guide you through the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Over the following two sessions\, artist Janet Nunn will demonstrate how to apply watercolor to three-dimensional ceramic forms—using the vases created by Jordan and any pieces you make during the first class. \n \nThis workshop is ideal for participants with some watercolor experience\, though all skill levels are welcome. Students must be 18 years or older. \n \nAll ceramic studio equipment will be provided\, and all work created during class (including the prepared vases) will be fired for you. Janet will be teaching with Dr. Ph. Martin’s Hydrus Watercolors\, which will be supplied along with all other necessary materials. Students will be provided with a wet thrown pot\, and instructor Peri Charlifu will guide the class on how to transform it into a monstrous ghoulie. We’ll talk about form and function\, proportion\, symmetry\, asymmetry and construction. Students will make their ghouls the evening of October 11th and will decorate them the evening of October 25th\, just in time for Halloween!  \n \nAvailable to all skill levels. In this workshop\, participants will use fresh leaves and flowers to create one of a kind botanical pressed plates. \nNo experience is necessary\, just bring your creativity! Tools will be provided\, as well as clay and glazes for a small fee that will be paid directly to the instructor. Participants are requested to bring flowers\, leaves and and other plant cuttings. A limited selection of botanicals will be provided if participants are unable to collect their own. \nStudents will complete at least one plate\, which will be fired and ready for pickup two weeks after the workshop.

The final class of the session will include a casual group critique and a potluck! \n \nThis class provides use of studio equipment and firing of work made during class or lab/open studio. Bags of clay can be purchased for $25 plus tax online or during class. Clay tools are provided on a first come\, first served basis\, and a personal set of basic clay tools can be purchased during class for $20 plus tax. \n \nOpen Studio takes place Saturdays from 9am-5pm each week that classes are active. Students must sign up and pay for open studio before their first class takes place in order to attend. SUMMARY:Spring 2 Ceramics Open Studio - Saturdays
DESCRIPTION:SATURDAY CERAMICS OPEN STUDIO \nSPRING SESSION 2 \n\nSaturdays:\nMarch 15\, 22\, 29\, April 5\, 12\, 19\, 26\, May 3\n9:00am-5:00pm\n$150 for students currently enrolled in a Creative Campus pottery class.\n\nThis is designed to be a work and practice time for students concurrently enrolled in a Creative Campus ceramics/wheel-throwing class. Studio will be proctored without instruction and open Saturdays 9am to 5pm. Signing up for this time slot does not permit students to go to the Thursday Open Studio time slot. \n  \nStudents may use the open studio any time within these hours\, but will be limited to 2 hour sessions if there are students waiting to use the throwing wheels/worktables.
