SUMMARY:Modern Kintsugi - June
DESCRIPTION:Modern Kintsugi \nFriday June 20 from 5 – 7:30 pm \nat Golden City Brewery as part of our annual ARTSWEEK programming! \n  \nKintsugi is a 400 year old Japanese art form of the mending of ceramics — creating beauty from brokenness. Kintsugi’s philosophy reflects Japanese culture and teaches us the importance of cherishing and caring for things in our mass consumption society\, and the beauty of brokenness/imperfection in things and ourselves. \n  \nIn this workshop we will guide a small group through a modern method of this ancient craft. You will see and feel the beauty you have created from the brokenness and reflect on your own life’s journey. All welcome and all materials needed for the experience will be provided. \n  \n*NOTE* Each participant will need something broken or chipped to mend. Please do not break anything on purpose; the instructor will provide ceramic tiles for those who need one. \n  \n$22 materials fee paid to instructor on day of workshop. \nMembers $100/ Non-Members & Friends $130 \n  \n***To receive the member rate – please “login” on the upper right-hand corner of this page with the email associated with your membership***

SUMMARY:Modern Kintsugi - September
DESCRIPTION:Thursday September 18 from 5:30 – 8 pm \nIn person at Foothills Art Center Creative Campus \n \nKintsugi is a 400 year old Japanese art form of the mending of ceramics — creating beauty from brokenness. \nMembers $100/ Non-Members & Friends $140 \n \n***To receive the member rate – please “login” on the upper right-hand corner of this page with the email associated with your membership***
