Bags of clay can be purchased for $25 plus tax online or during class. Clay tools are provided on a first come\, first served basis\, and a personal set of basic clay tools can be purchased during class for $20 plus tax. \n \nOpen Studio takes place Saturdays from 9am-5pm each week that classes are active. DESCRIPTION:3D Collage Art is getting deep! \n \nWe are taking our collage practice upward and outward\, into the realm of mixed media. Using techniques layering different types of paper material and adding a variety of “artifacts” such as wood pieces\, tiles\, beading and game pieces\, we will build on an original collage base. Everything is provided\, all you need is your creative vision. SUMMARY:The Art of Collage: Combining Text and Imagery
DESCRIPTION:You’ve heard the saying a “A picture is worth 1000 words”. We are flipping it around and creating a “picture” with1000 words. This workshop will combine visual imagery with written words to create a unique artistic expression. We will be using a variety of resources including books\, magazines\, personal handwriting and hand painted pages\, alongside images or other visual elements to arrange pieces made primarily focusing on the written word. We will continue to use various techniques of layering different types of paper material. Everything is provided; all you need is your creative vision. \n  \nCollage artist\, Erika Vassallo\, will lead participants through choice of materials \,composition\, use of different adhesives and application techniques. DESCRIPTION:First Wednesday of select months\, from 5:30-7:30pm. Please check our event calendar for specific dates.  \n \nFacilitated\, independent study of figure drawing with a professional nude fine arts model via Art of Modeling. All skill levels welcome. Age 18+ \n \nIn this 2 hour session\, poses vary from short 1 minute gestures to 20 or 30 minute studies. Bring your own supplies. Easels and chairs provided.  \n \nPlease arrive at 5:15pm to set up.
