Looking to kick start your creative practice? Intr Looking to kick start your creative practice? Introductory Artmaking: Basic Materials and Techniques of Painting and Drawing is a welcoming, all-levels class designed to build confidence and spark creativity.

Led by artist John Passaro, this four-week series meets Mondays in May (May 4, 11, 18, 25 | 4:00–5:00 pm) and explores the fundamentals of art,color, value, composition, line, and more. Whether you’re brand new or returning after time away, this class offers a supportive space to experiment, learn, and grow.

No materials? No problem! Basic supplies will be available to get you started.

Go deeper into the work behind Rocky Mountain Muse Go deeper into the work behind Rocky Mountain Muses at an Artist Talk with Rob Bell on Saturday, April 18 from 2:00–3:00 pm at the Astor House.

Hear directly from the artist as he shares his journey, influences, and approach to portraying the human form through bold, layered compositions. From dual-figure symbolism to his use of mixed media and dimensional surfaces, Bell’s work explores connection, identity, and transformation in striking and unexpected ways.

Designed for individuals experiencing early-stage Alzheimer’s or dementia, along with their caregivers, this free program offers a welcoming and engaging way to connect through art. Each session includes a guided gallery experience, meaningful conversation, and a hands-on art activity inspired by the exhibitions on view—plus complimentary refreshments and time to connect with others.
