Join Foothills Art Center for a watercolour painting trip with Janet Nunn to the Ghost Ranch area in Northern New Mexico. We will paint, staying in Abiquiu, at the Abiquiu Inn, which is right next door to Georgia O'Keefe's home and studio. This special place of red canyons, majestic mesas and amazing skies is a perfect setting for painting big with Janet Nunn.
Trip includes:

* Public Opening: Friday, December 1, 2023, 10am – 5pm

Stop by and shop over 3,000 unique items made by Colorado artists. We offer high-quality artisan crafts, including pottery, jewelry, glass, fiber, leather, metal, wood, food items, ornaments, and greeting cards, which could ostensibly take care of everyone on your list. The market is also one of the few that stay open for a few days after Christmas — that’s when folks can shop for themselves!

The FAC exhibition staff will jury artwork to select an exhibition with engaging and creative content and the highest level of craftsmanship. The show will be in the Large Gallery upstairs of the new Astor House location. This show is a fantastic opportunity to show your work of yours if you never have before.

Yuletide Tintypes: A Picture-Perfect Memory for the Season Saturday, Dec 2, 2023, 10 am - 4:30 pm

Join us for an exclusive experience with @goldentintype!

Each reservation includes the creation of one unique tintype photograph, making it the perfect keepsake or heartfelt gift for this holiday season. Please note that, due to the nature of the photography process, we kindly request no pets or children under the age of 6 at this event. Celebrate the holidays with us and capture the spirit of the season in timeless silver!

A tintype is a one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted photo made on a metal plate. The process is entirely handmade and these plates are one of one. This unique process dates back to the 1850’s. The plate is sensitized, exposed, and developed in a darkroom. After the plate is developed, it is washed, dried, and varnished, making them extremely archival. We still have tintypes around from the 1800s!
